Digs Posted January 24, 2022 Report Share Posted January 24, 2022 This is irritating. I like him as a player and think he is at least as good as what we have in the FB areas. I was puzzled as to why Edwards kept him out of the side last year, but to be fair, I can see why he has this year as I think Edwards has come on a lot, and has improved his game. McDonald has not had a hugely consistent run in the team for me, because even when he has, it's never really been in a settled position. I think he is a better full back than wide midfielder, and it may be that it's not a sign of a lack of faith but looking for him to kick on? From what I’ve seen of him so far I don’t think he’s the finished article and some more experience should help his defensive positioning and decision making.
