Superally
2 games left, but QoS have 3 left. Great result today but its all still to play for. If QoS lose midweek we are safe from the relegation spot. It seems like Partick will be the team that the Pars and Ayr need to beat to make sure of 8th place. COYP Week 32 Updated Fixture QoS v ICT Week 35 Partick v Pars QoS v Ayr Utd Morton v ICT Week 36 Pars v QoS Ayr Utd v Partick Arbroath v Morton
SanguinePar
Looking at the BBC match report, it notes that we and Ayr have the same points GS and GA, and says that if that's the case after game 36 we would have to playoff, to decide who goes in the playoff! Is that correct? My heart couldn't take it!

Number Eleven
No, if the clubs are level on points, goals scored and goals conceded, the Pars will finish above Ayr on head to head record. Taken from the SPFL rules.
SanguinePar
Meanwhile, what do we want from the QoS v ICT game? If QoS don't won they're down and gave nothing to play for against Ayr or us. If they do, they'll be pumped for the Ayr game, which could be good, unless they win and we lose to Thistle. If that happens, the final table could see us and Ayr AND QoS all on 35 points, with GD deciding it. And for that to happen QoS's GD would have to improve by at least +3, with Ayr and us both also seeing ours fall at least -2. Putting us all level! Jesus... SanguinePar
Further to this, looking at the H2H of us, Ayr and QoS. Pars 1w, 1d, 1l vs QoS Pars 2w, 1d, 1l vs Ayr Ayr, 1w, 2l vs QoS So, in the scenario where QoS finish on 35 and so do we and Ayr, that would become: Pars 1w, 1d, 2l vs QoS Pars 2w, 1d, 1l vs Ayr Ayr, 1w, 3l vs QoS So if somehow we all end up on the same GS and GA, we would have a better record against Ayr, but QoS would have a better record against both of us and it'd finish with Ayr bottom and us 9th. SanguinePar
In fact the simplest scenario where this matters is as follows: QoS 2-1 ICT QoS 1-0 Ayr Partick 1-0 Pars Pars 0-1 QoS Ayr 0-1 Partick All 3 of us would have 35 points 35 goals for and 52 against. scottyboy
Forget about QOS. They're down. By the time they play us , they will have lost over 20 games out of 36. Awful form, awful team, that had an awful manager. We could win our last 2 games and still fail (3 if you include today) We really need to destroy Queens if we get next Saturday's reault in our favour. Yorkie
Really beyond me that some wanted Queens to win tonight. I would much rather that automatic relegation had been decided tonight.
DA-go Par Adonis
Gives them every reason to turn over Ayr on Saturday, rather than it be a meaningless game. I'm of the opinion that the side in 9th will go down, so tonight's result makes us finishing 8th more likely.
