Comes into a club that are playing poorly inheriting another managers squad. They immediately sell one of his best strikers, and then proceed to get injury after injury. He then loses his other striker, and he has been given one January transfer window to rebuild the squad and implement his ideas?

An absolutely ridiculous situation.

Hibs sacked an experienced manager and replaced him with one who had none. That's a massive gamble and it's clearly failed.

If they're still paying Ross and Potter, they could hold their hands up and ask them to come back. Bizarrely, this practice is quite common in Serie A, where clubs cannot hire a manager currently working for another club in mid season.
