Pars v Airdrie

A top of the table encounter awaits next weekend with the winner takes all. Airdrie are the team the Pars host on this occasion and while it may have been a few yrs since we last played there is no doubt that their support are one of the most scummiest and abhorrent we are likely to face all season. On current form this will be a big test for McPakes Pars. Airdrie sit top ahead only on GD but like the Pars remain unbeaten with three wins and slipping up with a draw against QoS. They have been more prolific scoring 9 but have conceded 1 On a head to head the Pars have scored 5 but have managed clean sheets in 4 games. It should be a interesting encounter The Pars while have started strongly they have a lot to prove if they are to considered serious contenders for a push to the league title. Airdrie are one of the teams we would be expected to beat and this game will be a serious test. Sound judgement would suggest a draw but sentiment suggest we must put them in their place and there is nowhere better to do it that East End Park. 2-1 Pars win COYP

2-1 Airdrie. Being brutally honest we have been very poor in 3 out of the 4 league games so far, still very good having 10 out of a possible 12 points though.

The team is in desperate need of creativity and we need to see Todorov starting before McCann.

If we don't manage to sign any players this week and Airdrie beat us we could see a very interesting post match interview from McPake.

Just look at the stats over the past 4 games… we are solid in defence and midfield but up front short of a goal scorer.

Todrov/mCann are more or less 18 yard box players that can attack the ball. There is nothing else these 2 can provide. We need a quick forward to support them and Ohara could do this.

Not that I'm saying he'd do it regularly, but let's not forget Todorov's run and shot from about 20 yards against Ayr last season to help us win the game. He hit that beautifully.

That probably would be a one hit wonder tbh…. He can’t control a football as that’s not his game.. aswell as Mcann… he’s at least 5 yards off a defender for challenging for a ball.
Both these players are box players.
