Partick v Pars

This Saturday the faithful will be heading to Firhill and hopefully a few thrills. I frequently associate Partick Thistle with various cup competitions where the inevitable outcome was close but no cigar. However, recently Pars are unbeaten in three and have only lost narrowly to Raith this season. Partick were mauled 3-0 by Arbroath last weekend following a three game unbeaten run which was their second defeat (previously Airdrie) thus far. However, despite Partick being a place below the Pars there is much to fear. In six games they are the league’s top scorers with 14 goals, but they have conceded 9. The Pars were in imperious form last weekend and they will be hoping that form which has lifted them into the top 4 and a playoff place continues. Defensively they have continued the form from last season conceding 5, but have only one clean sheet so far. Yet there is promise that we are now taking the chances to score more with 5 goals in the past two games. Despite suffering a number of injuries to key players there is signs of a squad playing with such confidence there would be doubts that said players could walk back into the team. I think it will be close game with a Pars 2-1 win and “Hamlet” moment at FT. COYP
