Airdrie v Pars

The Pars face old rivals Airdrie in an away fixture on Saturday and will rekindle many memories our previous encounters in the first division last season. No more so than the thrilling 3-4 encounter which probably set the tone for our season last year. This will be a game where there is considerable familiarity between the teams and after injury it will be good to see former Par Todorov once more – hopefully not scoring. Jim McPake on Tuesday’s “Meet the Manger” evening did give a squad update Summers and Moffat will be back in the squad. Fisher will train next week. Bene and bree will start training soon. KRH is not likely to be back for another three months. Airdrie sit a point below the Pars in 5th and the stats show that the Pars have better defence and goal scoring form. Partick are 7pts ahead having played a game more. The Pars really need to cut into or maintain the gap and I think we have a good chance on Saturday, our last encounter was a 2-1 Pars win and I think this game will be the same. COYP

If we want to be pushing for playoffs we need a win, draws not a bad result with current injury list.

As we know from last season and the earlier game at EEP they are a team we have struggled against.

To be fair though, we’ve not lost to them.  Hopefully that continues Saturday.
