Owen Moffat would have done us a job. If we have allowed him to move to another competitive team then I can only hope that the individual we are looking to bring in to that position is better, otherwise we have missed out once more. We have enough 'can do a job' players signed up, we need the ones who'll win games to come in. I have said it fairly often but I firmly believe 80% of the players in the championship are much the same in terms of quality, difference between the teams at the top and those at the bottom is those at the top have 3/4 high quality players boosting their squad and those that the bottom end up getting 3/4 jobbers in their squad who drag the team down even if their game time is limited to a needs must basis. Quite right, raith must have the oldest defence in the uk and on at least two year deals. They've all had a fair amount of injuries too.
