East Fife: Friendly

Recommended Posts

Todd of all people needed a good pre season to try and recover sharpness after the injuries last season. He couldnt last 70 minutes when he came back at the end of last season.

If he has broken his collar bone he will be out for 6 weeks meaning he will miss all pre season meaning he will be less than 100% for the next two or three months . That’s a big loss for us .

He was holding his neck and came off. Then some nobody from .net talks about the East Fife commentator( reliable source) diagnosing a broken collar bone.......... I'll wait for the professional opinion.

My initial thought was that he'd been elbowed in the neck, and was struggling to catch his breath. But then aye the East Fife commentator said broken collerbone.

6 weeks is on the low-end for a collarbone break as well, depends on how bad it was. Also, you pretty much can't do any cardio whatsoever whilst it's broken because it's EXTREMELY painful. If it is a broken collarbone, we'd be lucky to see him before September.

Any idea how accurate that report is? How can you tell a broken collarbone from watching ?

It came later I'm sure after he'd already came off, a medical professional could tell a broken collerbone pretty quickly and with East Fife being a one stand affair maybe the news got passed up quickly?

Alternatively, Otoo and Kane both seem to be training, sometimes with the first team, but have an individual program to get them back to full fitness - hence why they didn't feature in a bounce game over 5 weeks before the start of the league season.  Todd was taken off last night and, as of yet, there doesn't seem to be any confirmation of how bad it is.

I know someone who played in the game for East Fife and said he looked in agony. Hopefully it isn't as bad as first thought. Todd and KRH really needed a good pre-season behind them after last season's injuries.
