da_no_1 Posted Thursday at 14:55 Report Share Posted Thursday at 14:55 Grim. Another home game where the attendance will be down on what it should be. ****e really.
parsforlife Posted Thursday at 15:11 Report Share Posted Thursday at 15:11 We knew we'd have to have 2 games on and they were almost guaranteed to be vs Raith or Falkirk. At least getting them out the way reasonably early means the run-in isn't affected.
the saline hill puma Posted Thursday at 15:42 Report Share Posted Thursday at 15:42 Shame it wasn't moved to boxing day instead
Al k Posted Thursday at 16:56 Report Share Posted Thursday at 16:56 Hardly a surprise, at least the two home games are out the way. Complete joke, there needs to be an option to allow clubs to refuse a fixture if there are two big crowd games affected.

To be honest, I'm fine with this one moving. With it being between Christmas and New Year the crowd will be up anyway and people will go regardless of whether it's on TV. More people tend to home for Christmas from other places (for both teams) and people will be off work the next day regardless of holidays with it being a weekend. Lots of guys use games like this as their Christmas drinks with their mates so I don't think it will have too much effect.

This time yes, but we had 2 cup games v rovers and both home games against united last season alone. Three were on the beeb alone. I might be wrong but its the hospitality that takes the biggest hit each time. Incomes bad enough for scottish teams without the games being cherry picked and not enough compensation for that fact. livipar2 Posted Thursday at 19:47 Report Share Posted Thursday at 19:47 I think there is a decent chance this sells out regardless of TV.

Away end maybe, we'll need to go on a seriously good run of form first and whilst I'm happy with the improvement the last few weeks it's still very much a case of walk before we try to run
Eastendtales Posted yesterday at 06:23 Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:23 Falkirk will start dropping points soon enough. By that time, I'd love to hope we're within touching distance of them, wherever they are.

Falkirk end especially will be way down on what it might have been. F*** Friday football.

I agree with the point about a big crowd regardless. On Friday night football, I'm more than happy with the odd game. I like a match under the floodlights, it puts a slightly different perspective on a match.
Dave Posted yesterday at 09:35 Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:35 This might be a sell out. Two days after Xmas, people home visiting family, weekend to come. Of course it’s help if both are doing well in the league!

Me too, but in late December we'd get that even for a Saturday 3pm kickoff! ;-)
